In the year 1994, Victoria Beckham, previously known as Victoria Adams, became a part of the all-girl band named as “Spice Girls”, which was firstly known as “Touch”. Her colleagues in the band were Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm. Their first single, more popularly known as “Wannabe”, topped the charts in the UK and US. After that, they followed the same path to success with eight other number one singles from their albums, named “Spice” and “Spiceworld”. Their band became the most popular pop band in the 1990s and the media rewarded every single member of the band with a nickname. Victoria Beckham was named as the “Posh Spice”. Their first two albums sold over fifty five million copies worldwide. After the first two albums, they launched their third album known as “Forever” and it ranked in second place in the UK charts but the success of the third album was much less than the first two albums.

The uniqueness of being an all-girl band played a very important part in the path of their success. Most of their numbers were mainly dance-pop tracks, which became the main cause of attraction for the young listeners but their colorful nature and sexy personalities also appealed a lot to the older music listeners. As a whole, the Spice Girls became a cross – generational success. All through Europe, they topped the charts in 1996 and moved towards America in 1997. After their third album, the Spice Girls parted their ways and Victoria forged a solo career.
