On 28th September 2006, America’s ABC TV and Canada’s Citytv premiered the first season of the “Ugly Betty” comedy drama series. This series was a Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner and starred America Ferrera, Vanessa Williams, Eric Mabius and Rebecca Robijn in the main cast. This series was mainly based on the life of not so glamorous but very good and humble by nature, Betty Suarez. The show was adapted from Columbian telenovela “Betty la Fea” (Ugly Betty), which was written by Fernando Gaitan. This was adapted by Silvio Horta from New York City. In July 2007, news flashed that Victoria Beckham would soon be filming a cameo appearance in the series. The second season began on 27th September 2007, when audiences saw Victoria in a cameo role in the seventh episode. The name of the episode was “A Nice Day for a Posh Wedding” and it was aired on 8th November 2007 in the United States and on 23rd November in the United Kingdom. The name of the episode was chosen from Victoria Beckham’s nickname in the Spice Girls, “Posh”. When asked, Victoria replied that she wanted to do the cameo role because she has an interest in fashion and not because of any reason, related to acting. This episode was directed by James Hayman. Though she has been involved in television for quite some time, she does not have any plans to begin an LA movie career.
