A lot of unfinished albums or boot legged copies of artists’ work are being leaked onto the internet without the consent of the musician. Many artists pour themselves into their work and such situations can cause career crippling problems as the artist’s sales drop because the music can be obtained for free over the internet. This has happened to countless artists over the last few years causing a lot of misery and controversy in the music business.

Victoria Beckham is the latest victim of Internet album leaking, when an LP she had recorded but then scrapped was released without her permission. Beckham was very unhappy with the project and was even less happy when the mediocre material was leaked. Beckham herself considered the project ‘useless’ and never intended for the LP to be released or heard.
