Celebrities are constantly under fire for the way they look and how they manage their diet. Victoria Beckham is certainly no stranger to the constant scrutiny of the unforgiving media. Over the last few years the pressure to be thin has been consistent, causing many young stars to lose their heads when it comes to a healthy diet. The result is that now, many naturally thin stars are being subjected to accusations that they suffer from eating disorders. Since the days when the young Posh Spice was new on the celebrity scene she has had a slim figure and when other stars came under fire for their thin physique Victoria was among them. She denies having any form of eating disorder and finds it appalling that people assume being naturally slim means there must be something wrong with you. Her diet is based on healthy eating and careful quality control of her food intake. Of course that doesn’t mean she never indulges in her favourite foods, she just keeps a level of discipline. Victoria’s opinion on the ultra skinny models of today is that it’s made out to be a much bigger issue than it really is. Models tend to be thin, it’s been that way for many years and she believes that the bigger issue is the age of the girls modelling. Some of the girls are barely entering their teenage years and she believes that should be the prime worry. It’s awfully sad when there is greater concern placed on body type than there is on maturity and growth. Perhaps stars like Victoria Beckham can help make a difference by being a bold example and not allowing the press to influence their lives.
